Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the JobLocal mobile application or website. By registering an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
JobLocal is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking tradespeople with tradespeople offering their services in Ireland. JobLocal is operated by JobLocal (company registration pending with the Companies Registration Office, Ireland).
JobLocal is a platform only. We are not a party to any contract for services between customers and tradespeople. We do not employ tradespeople, guarantee the quality of any work, or accept liability for any services arranged through the platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use JobLocal. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the user is under 18.
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account details current.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@joblocal.ie if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not create more than one account or create an account on behalf of someone else without their consent.
Customers may post job listings, browse tradesperson availability, and connect with tradespeople. Posting jobs and browsing is free.
Tradespeople may post availability listings, express interest in customer jobs, and accept customer requests. Tradespeople require credits to express interest in jobs and to accept availability requests.
1 credit is deducted when a tradesperson expresses interest in a customer's job. 1 credit is deducted when a tradesperson accepts a customer request on an availability post. Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment and have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
If a customer does not respond to an expression of interest within 7 days, the credit is automatically refunded. Credits that have been spent on completed connections are non-refundable. Credits do not expire while your account remains active.
Credit purchases made through the iOS app are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's own terms and refund policies. Refund requests for iOS purchases must be made directly to Apple. Credit purchases made through the Android app are processed by Stripe.
By purchasing credits, you confirm that they are delivered immediately to your account and you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
You agree not to use JobLocal to:
Tradespeople using JobLocal are responsible for holding all required licenses, registrations, and qualifications; maintaining appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance; complying with all applicable Irish health and safety legislation; and meeting their own tax obligations as sole traders or companies.
JobLocal does not verify the qualifications, licensing, or insurance of tradespeople. Customers are encouraged to verify these independently before engaging a tradesperson.
You retain ownership of content you post on JobLocal. By posting content, you grant JobLocal a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.
You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. JobLocal reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.
If you believe another user has violated these Terms, you may report them through the in-app report function. We review all reports and reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts found to be in violation.
JobLocal is a platform that facilitates connections between customers and tradespeople. We are not a party to any services agreement between users and have no control over the quality, safety, or legality of any services performed.
JobLocal does not guarantee that tradespeople will receive job opportunities or that customers will find a suitable tradesperson.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, JobLocal shall not be liable for any dispute between a customer and tradesperson; the quality, safety, or completion of any work arranged through the platform; loss of earnings, loss of business, or indirect losses; or any interruption or discontinuation of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Unused credits are forfeited upon account deletion and are not refunded. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms or cause harm to other users or the platform.
All intellectual property in the JobLocal app, website, branding, and content (excluding user-generated content) is owned by or licensed to JobLocal. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of JobLocal after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of JobLocal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@joblocal.ie.
